Use Ithy on Android: official website, installation and saved research

You can use Ithy on Android by opening ithy.com in your browser. When the browser offers installation or a home-screen shortcut, that provides convenient access to the same web service. No third-party APK is needed to use the website, and adding an icon does not create a separate subscription.

Use the verified access route

Start from the official website and the current Ithy mobile-access page. Similar names, app-directory entries and unofficial download pages are not proof of an association with Ithy. Follow installation links published on ithy.com if another official distribution option is offered.

This guide verifies the browser route. It does not claim to have exhaustively checked every app-store region or every similarly named app. The earlier answer included unrelated products and directory information; those are not useful evidence that a particular Android download is official.

Install or add a home-screen shortcut

1. Open Chrome on your Android device and visit https://ithy.com.
2. Open the browser menu. Depending on the version, look for “Install and create shortcut,” “Install app” or “Add to Home screen.”
3. Review the displayed site and name, then follow the browser’s prompts.
4. Open the new icon and check the account and saved library you expect to use.

Google’s official web-app instructions for Android describe the current Chrome flow. Menu wording and installation behavior vary by browser and version. If no installation option appears, continue in the browser or use a bookmark; installation is optional.

Sign in and keep the right library

Use your existing Ithy account. If you first research as a guest, sign in through the normal flow in that browser to retain eligible guest research, then confirm the answer appears in your library. Switching accounts can make a different library appear; it does not establish that an answer was deleted.

A home-screen installation may have a different sign-in state from a browser tab. Sign in normally if asked. Preserve guest content before clearing browser data or uninstalling anything. Research, sources and exports

The web service supports the research modes and account features described in How Ithy works. Read the model perspectives and the cited sources, not only the final synthesis. An installed icon changes how you open the service; it does not make AI agreement a guarantee that an answer is correct.

Use the answer’s export controls for the available HTML, Markdown and browser printing options. Download and file-opening behavior can vary on Android. Open the resulting file and check the content before relying on it as your retained copy. A saved HTML document may still link to external media; keeping a file does not necessarily preserve every third-party asset forever.

What works offline?

Generating new research requires an internet connection to the Ithy service. Installing the web app does not install the research models onto the phone. A deliberately exported file may be readable without a connection, depending on the format and its external resources. Do not assume that a shortcut automatically backs up all saved answers on the device.

Privacy, pricing and permissions

New answers begin private. Link sharing and explicit search publication are separate choices; review Ithy’s publication guidance before sharing sensitive information. Installing the web app does not authorize publication of your library.

Use official pricing and your account’s actual membership state for current terms. A directory’s price or an old generated answer is not a substitute for checkout or an existing agreement. You should not need to give an unrelated APK access to messages, contacts or device administration simply to read Ithy in a browser.

Do I need an APK?

No APK is needed for the browser route described here. Use the official site rather than a download with an unverified publisher.

Will the Android icon create another subscription?

No. It opens the same service; the signed-in account determines your recorded access.

Why is Install missing?

Browser support, version and device policy can affect the menu. You can still use the website without installing it.

Can I use Ithy on iPhone too?
